==Background==
This recording is the first official release from Springsteen's 2005 ''Devils & Dust'' solo tour in support for the album of the same name. The tour took Springsteen through theaters and curtained-off arenas to maintain a level of intimacy rarely seen in his touring career. Standing alone on the stage, Springsteen played mostly acoustic on ten different instruments during the tour. The recording features many live versions of songs that have never officially been released on any Springsteen album.
